DOS attack is also known as Denial Of Service attack in which attacker make the resource unavailable from the legit users. This attack is performed by flooding server request queue with false requests so that no valid user can request on the server. Thus server down. If we take a look on the biggest cyber attack of past few months, DOS attack was main. DOS attack is even more powerful when it is performed by the number of systems on the same server. When many systems perform DOS attack on the same server, this attack is known as DDOS attack. This attack is most powerful attack and hard to prevent when performed by multiple systems. There are various tools available on the internet which can be used to attack on the server.

This is the list of some popular DOS attacking tool.

RDOS

LOIC

TEV DOS

RefRef

DDOSIM

These are some popular and easy to use tool to perform the DDOS attack on the servers.

Boot up with DOS and delete the sam.exe and sam.log files from Windows\system32\config in your hard drive. Now when you boot up in NT the password on your built-in administrator account which will be blank (i.e No password). This solution works only if your hard drive is FAT kind.

Method 2

Step 1. Put your hard disk of your computer in any other pc .

Step 2. Boot that computer and use your hard disk as a secondary hard disk (D’nt boot as primary hard disk ).

Step 3. Then open that drive in which the victim’s window(or your window) is installed.

Step 4. Go to location windows->system32->config

Step 5. And delete SAM.exe and SAM.log

Step 6. Now remove hard disk and put in your computer.

Step 7. And boot your computer

Between workplace computers, laptops, desktops, and smart phones, you no longer live in a one-computer world. For most people, it’s not
uncommon to work from at least two different computers during the course of a day. But when you jump from one computer to another, you still need access to the latest version of your most important files — whether it’s an important PowerPoint file for a big presentation at work, a new website you’re working on in your spare time, your todo.txt file, or the next chapter of your novel. Carrying those important documents on a USB thumb drive used to be the most painless way to ensure you didn’t end up with multiple versions of a document spread across different computers, but a clever application called Dropbox (www.dropbox.com ) makes it easier than ever to access your most important files anywhere, without creating duplicates or lugging around an external USB drive.

A system that displays the symptoms listed previously is most likely infected with malware. To clean it, download Microsoft Security Essentials and Spybot Search and Destroy (to start). When the cleaners are installed, launch each and select Update to get the latest definitions.
NOTE If your web browser is hijacked, you may be unable to use the infected machine to download the software. Alternatively, download the software on a clean machine and burn it to CD or save it to a USB drive. If no other machine is available, try downloading it using a non-Internet Explorer–based web browser, such as Mozilla Firefox
(http://mozilla.org/firefox ) or Google Chrome (www.google.com/chrome/ ), which is less likely to be
 Hijacked.

Before you scan your computer, unload any spyware processes that are
already up and running on your machine. To unload spyware processes and scan your
computer, follow these steps:

1. Disconnect your PC from the
Internet connection and shut it down.
2. Start the computer again, and
press the F8 key while it is booting up (before you get to the blue-toned
Windows welcome screens).

3. Choose to start the computer in
Safe Mode, which runs only the bare-essential processes and drives to make a
system work.

4. When the computer is up and
running in Safe Mode, open Microsoft Security Essentials. Set your Scan Options
to Full; then click the Scan Now button. The scanning process can take a while
to run, but as it’s scanning it displays a list of possibly malicious objects it
found on your system, as shown in Figure 11-1.

Microsoft Security
Essentials notifies you of threats and recommends a course of action.

Microsoft reserves 20% of your available bandwidth for their own purposes like Windows Updates and interrogating your PC etc

You can get it back:

Click Start then Run and type "gpedit.msc" without quotes. This opens the group policy editor.

Then go to:
--> Local Computer Policy
--> Computer Configuration
--> Administrative Templates

--> Network

--> QOS Packet Scheduler

--> Limit Reservable Bandwidth.

Double click on Limit Reservable bandwidth.

It will say it is not configured, but the truth is under the 'Explain' tab i.e." By default, the Packet Scheduler limits the system to 20 percent of the bandwidth of a connection, but you can use this setting to override the default."
So the trick is to ENABLE reservable bandwidth, then set it to ZERO. This will allow the system to reserve nothing, rather than the default 20%.It works on Win 2000 as well.

Blue Screen of Death is a very common error that occurs in all the versions of the Windows OS, be it Win XP, or Win Vista or Windows 7. A lot of major as well as minor hardware and software related issues can lead to Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). Sometimes you can resolve the issue by simply solving it by restarting your PC. However, many times the BSOD screen won’t allow you to reach the desktop or even if you have reached the desktop, the BSOD screen can appear all of a sudden while you are doing something important on your PC.

BSODs appear when Windows encounters a serious problem and stalls the operating system. You can easily fix BSOD issues by examining all the factors that has triggered it. Here are some things you should do when you encounter a BSOD:

1. Some BSODs are so bad that you may end up installing fresh copy of Windows on your system. If you are not able to access your data after the occurrence of BSOD, you may also end up losing all your precious data. So, you need try your best to reach the desktop. You can try the ‘Last Known Good Configuration’ option or by going into the Safe Mode. You can try both of these options by pressing the F8 key before the appearance of the Windows loading screen. If you do it correctly, you will see the ‘Windows Advanced Options Menu’ screen where you will see options like Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking and Last Known Good Configuration.

2. When you see the BSOD, you should read the message that appears on it carefully. Usually, the error screen contains a ‘STOP ERROR’ code that consists of numbers and alphabets. The code varies depending on the problems that have caused the respective BSOD error. So, the first thing you need to do is make a note of the error code.

3. If your system is displaying the BSOD screen after recent installation of hardware or software, you can try uninstalling the hardware or software and see if that resolves the issue. After uninstalling the software that caused the problem, you can perform virus scan on your system. Repairing registry errors by making use of registry applications can help in getting rid of BSODs that are caused by software. Alternatively, you can also try the System Restore option to go back to a date when your system was working perfectly fine.

4. The next thing you need to is to find out what has caused the BSOD by researching on the internet. You can do this on your secondary PC. All you need to do is type the STOP ERROR code on Google and find out what solutions are available. A very good way to find solution for all kinds of BSOD errors is to visit the Microsoft Support website. At Microsoft Support, you will get all the possible solutions that you can try to get rid of the BSOD screen.

Run Android Apps in Windows 7and 8

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and BlueStacks have teamed up to let consumers run Android apps on their AMD-powered PCs.

AMD is also working with its partners to pre-load the the BlueStacks Android App Player on AMD-powered Windows 7 and 8 laptops, desktops, and tablets.

When you purchase a new PC running on an AMD processor, you will also be able to easily play not just PC applications but ones made for the Android OS as well. Today, AMD announced a deal with software company BlueStacks that will result in AMD PC owners gaining access to over 500,000 Android apps.

Current AMD-based PC owners can go ahead and download the AMD AppZonePlayer to gain access to those PC and Android apps. AMD will also work with its many OEM partners to pre-load the AMD AppZone Player on future PCs, including Windows 8-based products. BlueStacks has previously announced plans to launch a version of its software that will work on the "Metro" UI in Windows 8.

Google’s Android software development kit provides a free Android emulator, although it’s targeted at developers. You can run the latest version of Android with this method, so it’s a great way to try out Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, if you have a device that’s stuck on an older version.

First, you’ll have to download and install the SDK manager from Google. After installing it, launch it and check off the files for the latest version of Android. Click the Install button and the SDK manager will automatically download and install the required software.

Click the Tools menu once the download has finished, select Manage AVDs and click the New button to create a new virtual device. Select your installed version of Android as the target, name your Android virtual device, then click Create AVD.

You’ll see your new virtual device in the virtual device manager window. Select it, click the Start button and click Launch to launch the Android emulator.

Google’s Android emulator definitely doesn’t perform as well as BlueStacks or YouWave. It also doesn’t have the Android Market or any other app store integrated, but you can download app files inside it and install them. Check out our list of Androidapp-finding websites to find apps for the emulator.
